Hammock Beach with Friends

Katie, Claudia and Taylor went to Hammock Beach to celebrate the end of middle school.  Thanks to Mrs. Everitt, the girls got to spend 3 days relaxing at Hammock Beach! Lucky Kate!!

Memorial Day 2012

William's First Fishing Lesson (probably won't be his last!)

We had a great Memorial Day with the incredible Gamble family!!  Mr. Gamble took the boys out on the dock and fished - they even caught one!!  The kids played soccer with the neighbors and we had a big cookout.  Julia and Harley played together for hours - we never even saw them long enough to snap a picture.  Such a fun, relaxing day!!

For Katie's graduation present, we had pictures done with a fantastic photographer, Rachel Martin, who is a parent at WPS and a good friend of mine.  She really captured Katie's spirit and we had a great morning shooting these pictures.  I even jumped in a few.  I loved the outfits that Katie picked out (with no help from me!) - they were stylish, yet appropriate!!  Each of the pictures shows a different side of her.  Below a some of my favorites!!  There are too many good ones to post.  Can't wait to have some prints made for Sean's desk, my office and my family.  Loving this stage with my teenage daughter!!!  

Turning a Page ....

That says it all ... Katie is turning a page to a new chapter - HIGH SCHOOL!!  Not only a new chapter, but a whole new book as she is switching school to Bishop Moore Catholic High School.   It was a very tough decision because we love WPS and know it would be a great fit as well.  But Katie really wants to play on a competitive volleyball team and BMHS has a great program.  Katie looked absolutely stunning on graduation night.  Sean and I both noticed how incredibly happy and confident she looked.  We reflected that that is aligned actually with our goals for our children - Children of God who are kind to other and comfortable with who they are!!  Katie's list of achievements are too long for this blog - but the one thing that stands out the most about her middle school years is how she navigated them with grace and class.  She always choose the right path, the right friends, prepared the right way and made us very, very proud!!  We are so excited to see what this new chapter will look like and humbled that we will get to read along with her!!  We love you Katie girl -

Last Day of School 2012

We just completed our SEVENTH year of school at WPS!!  Wow .. this year was full of so many amazing highlight I could never list them all.  Each of these five amazing kids accomplished so much in the classroom, with their friends and in their sports.  We are going full speed ahead into a summer that includes 2 national volleyball tournaments, baseball, football, volleyball, basketball, sea world and sleep away camps.  We will top the summer off with a week at our house for the Wilkinson Family Reunion 2.0 and then 2 weeks in Europe.  I am living the life I have always dreamed ... raising a big family and exploring the world with them!!  Thanks for an amazing 2011 - 2012 school year. 

Boy how they have changed ... obviously Andrew has grown tons, but William has grown right along with him and I think proportionally has grown more!!

Best Day of the Year ....

Last day to make school lunches!!!  I detest making lunches ... would rather do 1500 loads of laundry.  Weird, huh??

Spring Football

Andrew played Spring Football again this year - 20 days in May!!  Wow, what a difference a year makes.  We played a spring game in Celebration and of course, the kids all have different numbers.  I was worried I wouldn't be able to find Andrew - not the case!!!  He was the absolute tallest on the field - so easy to find him!!  He played both ways and made a great catch to set up a touchdown.  Love watching him play football ... unfortunately, I don't know if he will play in the Fall.  I think he is at the point of concentrating totally on baseball.  I knew this day would come when he would want to specialize - but I will still be sad not to see him on the field.
